Organic Garden
At YCMU we are fortunate to have a large piece of land next to our Foundation that has been leased for us by some wonderful friends from Italy. This is where we grow organic vegetables to keep us healthy and to keep our costs down. It is important to us to have control over the food we consume and to help us be as independent as possible. We are grateful to the Australian Government Australian Volunteers International (AVI) program who provided us with a volunteer to design and make our garden. During the rainy season our garden often gets flooded making it difficult to keep our crops growing. But, throughout the dry season we all work hard to make sure we have clean, organic produce to help us maintain good health.
